diy tutorial: a chalkboard.

 

I proudly present the first diy tutorial of the history of prettymerry. Make yourself a ...

You will need:

/ wood frame with wood backing (mine is from Ikea, but you can use an old framed picture, toss the picture, re-paint the wood frame and use the wood backing for the chalkboard)

/ chalkboard paint

/ paintbrush

/ rubber gloves (to protect your hands)

/ old newspapers (to protect your floors)

 

Remove the wood backing from the frame by opening the bendable staples.

Paint the wood backing with one coat and let it dry (preferably overnight).

Paint the wood backing once again. Let it dry some more and then put the frame and the now painted wood backing back together.

And voilà! You made yourself a fancy chalkboard :)

I have been contemplating about decorating one wall in our living room with photos and different art for a while now. It may or may not be from the very first day when we moved in. And that may or may not have been 3.5 years from now. I am horrible. 

Buuuut, I belive that posting this and maybe a few similar on this blog will help me to kick myself in the behind and start working ;)

With this I start the weekend :) The home is waiting to be cleaned and the bags are waiting to be packed.

designing a blog.

 

Designing a blog is hard work.* Especially when you are so indecisive as I am. 

And because I am also a perfecionist and want to accomplish all my goals in a certain time period a tiny change results in a 3 hour work. 

Tomorrow morning will probably be hard on me (as are most of the mornings during the week) and I am afraid I will not be satisfied with what I did today and will try to change it all over again.

I know there is never enough pink... but still... is there too much pink? :)

 

*Maybe I should rephrase this to: Designing my brand new blog. ... ;)
