1. sigh. (quote by Oscar Wilde and this image ... hmmm, a friend of mine posted it on Instagram (or was it Facebook?) last year ... and I know it's not his work, so I googled it and ... well, guess what, I couldn't find the source, it's all over the internetS and no real credits can be found. I know, I know ... if I don't know the original source, I shouldn't post it, buuuut .... it's just so appropriate and I like the font and the setting and ...)

2. why is it so hard to order one (!) paper journal from USA to Europe, well ... to Slovenia, in this case. they don't ship to Slovenia from the original site, of course and when I wanted to order it from Amazon ... the journal itself costs 30€ and the shipping and taxes and duties and ... well, I would have to pay around 80€ for it. seriously?! I will just keep it on my wish list and continue the never ending search for the perfect journal for the next year. (since we are skipping our annual USA visit this year ... grrr!) another sigh! btw, it's this one ... gold dots ftw! :)

3. was laughing so hard when I saw this True Detective parody ... Tiny Detectives, hahaha. I think it could be funny even if you didn't watch True Detective and if you did ... well, watch it :)

4. this should actually be number 1 on the list ... or better, it would deserve its own post. or its own page. or site. or even a whole blog ... haha, ok, I am exaggerating a little. but only a little :)

SERIOUSLY?! EDDIE SINGING IMAGINE?!? this made my week. my month probably ;))) check some more here (the above photo is from this page as well) and here. 'the most powerful song ever written'? could be. (plus, it always brings me a lot of points in karaoke competition ;)) no, seriously ... this is good. on repeat, of course!

5. I'm in a reading frenzy again and I love it. my to-read list is very long and nights are just too short ... and there are some books you run into, that ... well, this quote from the last book I've read (The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair by Joël Dicker) could fit here: ''A good book, ... , is a book you are sorry to have finished.'' Melancholic ... this could be a fitting description for me right now. Bring over some pancakes. And chocolate. And ice cream. :)

1. I've been thinking about this in the past week a lot. I've had a lot on my plate lately and since I always try to be nice to others (even when I am not in a good mood) it really gets to me when some people are so easily judging people they don't know well. Judging them and assessing their work they don't know much about. Is it really so hard to be nice and help one another or at least keep some things to yourself and not spread negative energy all around? Oh, well, I am an idealist, I guess.

2. I was so so so sad last week when I heard that one of my favourite musicians died. Paco de Lucía and his music mean so much to me and I will always remember the two concerts I was lucky enough to attend when he was in Ljubljana ... so much energy, such great music! Entre Dos Aguas is on repeat many many times.

3. Fujifilm Instax Share printer is on my wishlist from the moment I saw Amy Tangerine's review about it. It looks so easy ... and the photos? The cutest!

4. Duolingo is my new favourite app. It's a free language learning platform, very useful and fun. I am using it to refresh my French and to stay in touch with my Spanish.

5. I don't want to jinx it, but it seems that spring (!!!) is here and I love it. Sunny weather makes everything so much better (and easier and prettier). I've been sporting my favourite Chucks and lighter jacket today and felt just great. Not to mention it's Friday and the weekend is supposed to be gorgeous ... I deserved it after this rough week :)

1. This part of Mumford&Sons lyrics has been one of my favourite words to write when learning and practising the brush script technique with Kal Barteski in lifeSCRIPTED class. It was also my go-to quote of this week as my birthday on Monday got me thinking and reviewing and planning and ... Let's live while we are young!

 

 

2. I've already mentioned (here, for example) how much I love Mumford&Sons and their lyrics. They usually 'find' me in the right moment ... like with the Whispers in The Dark this week.

3. Loving these yoga poses for health problems or discomforts.

4. Also featuring this week: Watching Olympics like it's my job. And regretting it's not.

5. I've just finished making tiramisu (I've had some mascarpone in the fridge that had to be used), I've tried this recipe but used Savoiardi biscuits instead of the sponge cake (not only for decoration like they were used in the recipe) and I tweaked it a bit as well. It will be resting in the fridge until tomorrow ... will let you know the result :)

1. Words for today were actually my mantra this week - thanks to Stephanie's post on Instagram (the image above is hers, btw check her blog, I adore her). It was (again) a tough and long week ... so happy it's Friday. I have no idea what it was - besides the usual, the full moon approaching and the Mercury being in retrogarde :) Well, it had to be something, but still ... I chose to be happy. At least tried hard to be. Which leads me to ...

 

 

2. No additional comments needed. This and some crazy dancing when nobody's watching ... a perfect combination!

3. And since this still wasn't enough ... 10 easy things that will make you happier, backed by science.

4. Another thing that makes me happy are the Olympics. I should take these two weeks off, but instead I opted for late nights with reruns and some nervous moments of listening to commentaries in my office (through the headphones, of course. blah!). Slovenian athletes are so so good :)

1. I love this quote from A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway. Not only because it was used in The City of Angels (which I really love, too), but mainly because I love the optimistic note and is somewhat helpful in this grey winter that does me no good.

2. Loving these tips for beating the winter blues from A Cup of Jo. Check also what Oh Joy says about sunshine and the seasonal affective disorder. I need a light box and a vitamin D cocktail!

 

3. Hey Ya by Obadiah Parker was on repeat this week. Rad.

4. I'm so happy it's weekend because that also means the new episode of True Detective. Anybody watching? Who knew that Matthew McConaughey can be so good. Well, Woody Harrelson is pretty great as well ... and the plot! So good, really, check it out.

5. The Olympic Games began today (yay!) and I still have no idea when those drafts will turn into posts (oh, maybe there is my answer ... less tv, ha ... but not during the Olympics ;)).
